General Financial and Tax Consulting, LLC Announces George Schneider to Lead New
Tax Divisions
CINCINNATI- October 11, 2010 - General Financial and Tax Consulting,
LLC (www.genfitax.com) has announced that George Schneider, CMI, has joined the
firm and will serve as the Vice President of State & Local Tax Management. George
will be responsible for leading the firm’s efforts to expand its scope of services
into the real estate and sales and use tax areas. In addition, George will act as
Project Manager for many of GFTC’s major clients while operating from the firm’s
new branch office in Detroit, Michigan.
George joins the firm after serving 20 years as Regional Tax Manager for General
Motors Company. His responsibilities included managing many of company’s major real
estate, personal property and sales and use tax matters. Prior to working at General
Motors, he was Manager of Property Taxes for National Gypsum Company. George holds
a CMI designation for both property and sales tax from the Institute for Professionals
in Taxation and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the State
University of New York.
General Financial and Tax Consulting is expanding it current service offerings,
that had primarily focused on fixed asset accounting and personal property tax compliance,
to include real estate and sales and use tax management. The firm has added 11 new
professionals to their Harrison Avenue office and is dedicated to growing all of
its services throughout the United States and Canada.
